and proceed to remove DAMBE completely. Check C:\Windows\System32 to make sure that DllWithDialog.DLL is deleted (and manually delete it if it it not) before installing a new version of DAMBE.

• For Internet Explorer Users: Click one of the installation packages (DAMBE*.msi) below. At the dialog asking you whether to open or save the file, choose the "Open..." option and follow the installation instructions (just a few mouse clicks in fact).
• For Netscape Users: Right-click one of the installation packages (DAMBE*.msi) below. At the pop-up menu, choose 'Save link as' to save the installation file (DAMBE*.msi) to your harddisk. Click Start|Run and type in the full path and name of the saved installation package
• After installation, a program icon will be added to the Start menu. You may now run the program from the Windows desktop by click Start|Dambe.
• There will be a number of DNA sequence files in the directory where DAMBE.EXE resides. Note that I have used different file extension (or type) to designate different data files for different programs. It is always a good practice to use one particular file type to designate one particular file format.

• DAMBEXP for Windows XP
• DAMBE for Windows Vista/7 (Support NeXML)
  • Rather than left-click and click 'Run' to install, you should right-click DAMBEVista.msi and save it to a directory. Browse to that directory, right-click DAMBEVista.msi and click 'Properties'. Under the 'General' tab, click 'Unblock' and 'Apply'. Now you can left-click the DAMBEVista.msi file to install DAMBE.
  • Even after a successful installation, Vista may not give you administrator privilege to run programs even if you login as a member in the administrators group. You may need to right-click 'DAMBE.EXE' in the installation directory (e.g., C:\Program Files\DAMBE), click 'Properties' and then the 'Compatibility' tab, and choose to run the program with administrator privilege.)
