Saccharomyces cerevisiae data
This page contains processed RNA-Seq data for Saccharomyces cerevisiae. For eukaryotic RNA-Seq studies, samples are often
prepared by using oligo-dT to purify polyA-containing mRNAs, so you may not be able to study non-mRNA RNAs such as tRNA, miRNA, etc.
Yeast_CDS.FAS: Coding sequences from S. cerevisiae genomic sequences (ACCN: NC_001133 - NC_001148) for you to practise gene expression characterization using the BLAST databases listed below. The FASTA file has sequence IDs being a combination of LOCUS name (chromosome), gene name and map location on the genome.
1. BioProject PRJNA319604: 44 BLAST databases created from the original 44 .sra files
downloaded from NCBI. They are single reads each with ~51 bases. The sample is processed with Illumina TruSeq RNA Sample Preparation Kit v2 which purifies
the polyA containing mRNA molecules using oligo-dT attached magnetic beads using two rounds of purification.
